Website to introduce more features for fans and competitors

In the coming weeks the British Autograss Series website will be introducing some exciting additions to offer more in-depth reviews of each round.
The decision to move solely to web-based reporting for 2013 – a first within the sport – after 17 years with Supergrass Magazine as the official publication, has brought with it the chance for a more extensive review of each meeting, along with the capacity for an online photo gallery featuring a selection of the best shots over all 12 classes. 
Other features following each round, for the benefit of both spectators and competitors, will be the inclusion of both in-car camera footage, and the chance to re-play the commentary on the individual class finals after the meeting has ended, via uploaded sound files.
As has been the case over the past few seasons, BAS FM will be providing their services at the meetings allowing anyone worldwide to listen to the trackside commentary on the internet, and will be supplying the additional files for inclusion on the website to be played after the meeting has ended.
The in-car camera footage will be supplied by the omnipresent MotorMedia, the Hereford-based company of some time Class Six and Class Ten racer Nathan Harwood. Harwood started the business in 2008 within Autograss before branching out to a number of other sports; using the highest quality equipment, MotorMedia have quickly built up a reputation as the best on-board camera supplier within the disciplines they cover.
“We will be using two of our newest cameras for these events, and aim to cover as many drivers as possible throughout each event,” Harwood explained.
“We will contact individual drivers directly as well as publish requests online for people who want to feature as part of our BAS recordings,” he said, “but we also hope to feature some special off-track recordings detailing the spectator environment throughout a race weekend.”
The event reports and photography will be provided by Supergrass contributor Dan Moffatt. Moffatt started reporting within Rallycross in the early noughties under Tim Whittington’s tutelage, before moving across to additionally cover Autograss in 2004. He has covered many events across a variety of formulae for Motorsport News, Autosport, Short Circuit, ERC24 and Rallycross World, and has in previous years placed in the top ten in the country for RenaultSport’s Young Motorsport Journalist of the Year.
