{"id":857,"date":"2014-03-12T10:12:00","date_gmt":"2014-03-12T10:12:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/basautograss.co.uk\/?page_id=857"},"modified":"2024-04-24T19:58:56","modified_gmt":"2024-04-24T19:58:56","slug":"worthy-causes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/basautograss.co.uk\/index.php\/2014\/03\/12\/worthy-causes\/","title":{"rendered":"WORTHY CAUSES"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Impressive donations for great charities.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last month the British Autograss Series donated an incredible \u00a32700 to charity as a result of the fundraising at last year&#8217;s awards ceremony, splitting the money between the Anthony Nolan Trust and the Teenage Cancer Trust.<br>Both charities are pertinent to the lives of members of the Autograss Community, and to have been able to give \u00a31350 to each charity is a great achievement.<br>In addition to this figure, the \u2018Eyy We Crazy\u2019 organisation &#8211; set up by class one lady racers Fiona and Carys Thomas &#8211; were able to add a further \u00a3994.75 to the amount donated by the BAS as a result of their own fundraising throughout the year at Autograss events, at the Hillbilly Sprint hillclimb event, and from the sale of their branded items of clothing, bringing the total for the T.C.T to \u00a32344.75. The Thomas sisters worked incredibly hard throughout last year to promote the Eyy We Crazy name, and deserve huge credit for a great outcome.<br>The photo above shows BAS Director Simon Bentley and Ladies class three driver Sally Shorter presenting the cheque to Nancy Grey from the Anthony Nolan Trust,.
